Hi, I’m Sean
- A tattoo artist with over 13 years of experience, based in Northwood, Watford. Before I ever picked up a tattoo machine, I worked as a plasterer and decorator. Art has always been my passion — I studied fine art and illustration — but it wasn’t until a trip to Thailand that everything changed.
While watching a friend get tattooed out there, something just clicked. I thought, “Why am I not doing this?” That moment completely changed my life.
Not long after, I met an English tattooist working with a Thai couple, and by pure chance, he offered me the opportunity to learn. What was meant to be a two-week trip turned into a year living and tattooing in a small studio overlooking the sea. My first tattoo was a mermaid on a local Thai woman — the lines were wobbly, but somehow, it worked!
That year was unforgettable — I tattooed backpackers, locals, and travellers from all over the world. But toward the end, I fell seriously ill and had to return to the UK, where I ended up needing open-heart surgery (all caused by a lip piercing, believe it or not).
After nine months of recovery, I went back to plastering, but I couldn’t shake the pull toward tattooing. I saved up, bought a machine and a bed, and started tattooing from my parents’ house while still working full-time. They supported me completely, and that gave me the foundation to chase this dream properly.
Eventually, I got an apprenticeship at West London Ink in Ealing. It wasn’t easy — my tattoos were rough, I was under pressure, and my partner was pregnant at the time. I came close to giving up more than once. But I didn’t. I pushed through, learned from every mistake, and kept going. That persistence changed everything.
Since then, I’ve worked at some amazing studios — including Mantra 2 in West Drayton, where I really started to develop my own style, and later at Osco.London (formerly The Old Stables), where I continue to grow as an artist.
Tattooing isn’t just a job to me — it’s my life. If I won the lottery tomorrow, I’d still tattoo. For me, it’s about passion, connection, and creating something meaningful for every person who sits in my chair.
If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about their craft and wants to make sure you walk away with something you’ll love forever — I’d love to hear from you
My style
I’m happy to take on a wide range of tattoo styles, but my real passion lies in black and grey realism. I focus on building strong contrast, smooth shading, and rich depth — creating pieces that not only look incredible fresh, but also stand the test of time.
From portraits and statues to skulls and animals, I love anything that allows me to get lost in the detail and bring a design to life. When I’m working on larger projects, I often revisit healed sections to refine and add layers — that extra time and precision make all the difference in achieving a clean, cohesive final piece.
My goal is always the same: to create tattoos that hold their impact for a lifetime.
